Somerset Waste Partnership

All 11 Recycing Centres will be open six days a week: 9am-6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9am-4pm Saturdays and Sundays all closed Thursdays Access is “one in, one out”, an odd/even number plate system will be used: Odd numbers only Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays Even numbers only Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays Other restrictions include: Maximum two people per household No people with COVID-19 symptoms, or who have been asked to shield No large vans (3.5 tonne or heavier) No trailers Gloves to be worn outside vehicles Only these materials will be taken: Refuse usually put in your rubbish bin, and bulky items, such as furniture Garden waste Large electrical items, such as cookers, fridges, TVs etc Hazardous chemicals, such as those from garden sheds or garages Not taken until further notice: Anything involving payment, such as charged-for hardcore, soil, tyres, gas bottles or vehicle parts (compost will not be available to buy) Commercial waste Asbestos or plasterboard Please do not take, unless essential (as it will be landfilled): Anything usually recycled kerbside – food, cardboard, paper, cans, glass etc Wood, metals, small electrical items Plastic pots, tubs, trays, Tetra Paks and other beverage cartons

Grocery Orders from Kilve Stores

and Prescriptions

Dear All As    shopping    becomes    increasingly    difficult    in    these worrying    times,    we    have    arranged    with    Matt    and Charlotte   at   Kilve   Stores   for   them   to   make   a   weekly delivery    to    the    village    hall    which    we    will    then distribute to the residents of Holford and Dodington. You can order from the shopping list (updated for 18/4/2020) we have put together and email your order through to Kate katr.hammond@gmail.com  or Mike coplestonm@gmail.com.  Alternatively, you can place your order by phone 741306. Whichever way you choose to order, please use the product number followed by the quantity you would like eg 022 x 3. If   there   are   any   items   you   would   like   that   are   not   on the    list,    please    feel    free    to    order    them    and    Kilve Stores    will    do    their    utmost    to    accommodate    your requests. Payment   can   be   by   cheque   (made   payable   to   Kilve Stores),   cash   or   bank   transfer.   You   will   receive   your bill    the    next    day    (Sunday),    either    on    paper    or    by email,   and   payment   will   be   collected   on   the   Monday. If    you    choose    to    make    payment    via    bank    transfer please   put   “Kilve   Stores”   followed   by   your   customer number    (which    will    appear    on    your    bill)    in    the reference   line   of   your   bank’s   payment   system   as   this will    enable    Matt    and    Charlotte    to    keep    track    of payments.   Their   bank   details   will   be   on   the   bottom   of your bill. Orders   must   be   received   by   5   pm   on   Saturday   for delivery the following Saturday. As   most   of   you   will   be   aware,   Kilve   Stores   is   run   by   a very   small   team   and   they   are   very   stretched   at   the moment. Prescriptions If   you   take   a   medication   on   a   regular   basis,   please keep   an   eye   on   your   “stock   level”   and   re-order   in good   time.      Dispensaries   can   only   supply   one   month’s prescription at a time. A    member    of    Holford    Parish    Council/Volunteer    will collect & deliver your prescription. Lloyds Williton - Tuesdays Pharmacy contact number 01984 632512. 5 days to process repeat prescriptions ordered on-line. Quantock Medical Center - Fridays Pharmacy contact number 01278 733385. 48 hours to process repeat prescription requests. Cannington Health Center – Fridays Pharmacy contact number 01278 651311. Community Bus Service

Due to concerns around health & safety, and the obvious difficulties in ensuring that current Government guidelines are adhered to, the community bus service will be suspended as of the last service on Friday 27th March. The service will be under regular review during the next weeks/months, and will be reinstated once we have come through the present national emergency.
